Lightbox is a leader in the industry in developing this technology, compressing thousands of years of pressure into just two weeks to create the highest quality stones, which are then hand-finished by our master jewelers.

We believe in doing our part to measure and minimize our environmental impact. We are proud to have our product carbon footprint verified by The Carbon Trust, an independent organization devoted to clear and transparent accountability with the goal to move toward a decarbonized future. Verification with the Carbon Trust isn’t a one-time certification. Instead, we partner with them in an ongoing relationship. To maintain our verification, we must accurately and transparently report our product carbon footprint every year, allowing us to track our progress in reducing our emissions. We are always seeking a better way, and we invest in research and development to continue to improve our technology.

The lab, located just outside Portland, Oregon, reflects the artfulness and innovation that is inherent in all the work we do. Designed by the Chicago-based architecture firm Sheenan Nagle Hartray (SNHA), the building was conceived as a simple white box, carved away to recall the faceted structure of a Lightbox lab-grown diamond. Home to some of the most advanced technology in the industry, entirely powered by renewable energy, and teeming with energy and creation, the lab exemplifies our commitment to experimentation, sustainability, and beauty.
